Care that sees the whole person.
Your health is connected. Your treatment should be too.
My work begins by listening for connections between your symptoms, history, daily life, and emotional well-being. Acupuncture is the primary hands-on treatment at Tao of Health, guided by the broader principles of Chinese medicine. When appropriate, care may also include cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, hands-on therapy, warmth, essential oils, or herbal guidance—each selected according to your needs.

Meet Dr. Chris Tornack
Curious by nature. Thorough by practice. Committed to helping people understand their health.
Chris founded Tao of Health to create the kind of care he believes people deserve: unhurried, individualized, and grounded in both traditional wisdom and careful observation. As a Doctor of Acupuncture, he brings acupuncture, Chinese medicine, hands-on therapies, and herbal knowledge together with a warm, direct style. You are not a list of symptoms here—you are a whole person whose story matters.
What care at Tao of Health looks like
Begin with a conversation
Build your treatment
Adjust as your body changes
What to expect at your first visit
The longer appointment is intentional. Your story deserves more than a rushed intake.
Your first visit begins with a detailed conversation about your health history, current concerns, daily rhythms, goals, and the changes you have noticed. Assessment may include observation, palpation, and pulse and tongue diagnosis through the lens of Chinese medicine. From there, your first Taiji Whole-Body Acupuncture Treatment is shaped around what your body needs that day. When clinically appropriate, care may unfold in complementary face-up and face-down phases and may include supportive hands-on techniques.
Before you leave, we review what was found, what to watch for, and what the next step may be. Please allow approximately 2½–3 hours so nothing important has to be rushed. Follow-up visits build on what has changed and are adjusted as your body responds.
Tao of Health may be a good fit if you have several concerns that seem connected, feel rushed or unheard elsewhere, want to understand the patterns beneath your symptoms, or value thoughtful, individualized care.
If you are looking for a quick, one-size-fits-all appointment, this approach may not be the right fit—and that is okay. Good care begins with an honest match.
